How lucky to be back down near the coast in my little tin can😎 Early night friday, good 8hrs sleep, up at 7am ready for attempt 14k😒. As soon as I stepped out, whoosh the wind was on me and the very cold air nipping at my fingers so my arms went straight up the sleeve😄Set off steady but feeling cold, wind in my face, oh well better get on. Seemed like ages to warm up but as I approached town let my arms slide down out of the sleeves.Nearly at 5k I can smell the sea, so excited to see it again. Still hav'nt seen anyone until approach to prom, a lady walking her dog, so windy think it was the dog pulling her along. As she passed she smiled and said morning, I suddenly felt how it might feel after botox, I couldnt move my lips!so I just gave her a wallace and grommit open mouthed type of grin😄On to the prom now, the sea looks magnificent, all green, grey swirling and crashing, showing off its power!Nearly 8k done as I turn around ready to make my way back, feeling well warmed up, the wind thankfully behind me now giving me a gentle push here and there, ooh hold on I'm a crab, running sideways🐙. The wind eases again 9K done, heading towars the river. Aah thats refreshing as the sea spray hits the side of my face, then OUCH! as I realise its actually hailstones, luckily only lasts a minute or so. On I go 10k now and feeling hopeful. As I approach the bend to the river, which is known as a bit of a wind tunnel, I notice a small group of runners fighting to get around the corner, I feel smug that the wind is behind me now👍😌Suddenly I am hit from behind with an unexpected force of wind which literally seems to hurl me round the corner and I have to say I was half excited and half frightened at the sudden pace I was running👀I felt totally out of control but found myself laughing out loud at what had just happened as it brought to mind a scene from some mothers do have em, you know Frank Spencer on rollerskates😂😂😂I had to bite the head off one of my jelly babies to calm myself down😂😂Heading back out of town now 12k, feeling confident, starts to rain but I don't care, nearly home.13k level crossing down, dont care😂slow down, time it right, no need to stop, can see the windsock blowing outside the caravan park, Im back, 15k under my belt🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃euphoric!Have a great day all!!😄

Hardest run to date!
What a read! Gale force wind, piercing hailstones and you laughing away without a care! Brilliant run and report! Congratulations! 👏👏🏃♀️🤩
Loved the run report, the photo is fabulous and you were definitely Queen of that run!
Wonderful! I was running that with you! Ha ha. Bloody wind! It's hard to run in but you did it! Once you're out there, wet and committed, you have to see it through to get back home. I bet you were happy to get back indoors to refuel and warm up. You must have been starving. Running with complete freedom, in the hail, run, wind and cold is life-affirming stuff indeed. Euphoria is a good word!
Absolutely! My husband cooked a full english to help me refuel😌probably not the healthiest choice, but delicious all the same😄
That photo!! Love it.
Sounds like an amazing run.
