Last minute race entry today as was persuaded to enter by good friend Sally (you signed on on the day! )
Same route as the one in i did in January ,this one your start time was dictated by how you did previously with the slower ones having the advantage of starting first then being chased down by the speedy ones ( handicap race)
I didn't overtake many ! The going was very tough sinking mud all the way that sapped the energy from the legs! After all the rain was even harder than last time , ended up on my watch just a minute or so slower than before so quite happy as wind was gusty too! Enjoyed the experience of the "Screaming womans woods" strava section again!!π start and finish pictures above ! Lovely roast dinner afterwards!πxxxπππππͺ

Haha! Those socks Ali! π I know what you mean about the energy sapping mud - sucking your feet down as you try to stay upright!π Well done again!πx
Washing them off in a bucket of water this morning was grim!π I chucked them in a carrier bag yesterday as we tried to get clean enough to walk to the bar for the awards presentation and all important coffee!πxxx
Great stuff Ali! Well done matey πππββοΈπ
Roast dinner! What an incentive. Iβd up my game for a roast dinner. Imagine that the word got round that the dinners were running out, so first come first served. Cue Benny Hill music ......πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺ
I hope you have a restful day today. Your legs must be tired after dragging through mud π. Itβs really hard work int it
