Not sure why as it was not a long run, it was a worn in pair of shoes and I can't work it out. Think for some reason I might have had a rub on the insole, odd.
Anyway it is only small and I want to continue running, will use different shoes so any advice on what to put on it, I was thinking of micropore tape? Want to avoid aggravating it.

Although I don’t suffer from blisters I do have a hard ridge of skin on one of my toes which can get painful. I wear a blister plaster, they have more cushioning than ordinary plasters. I’ve not tried micropore tape but it’s worth a try as it would give you some protection to the area.
Hi IP. I followed your Highness's advice (of course) and got some blister plasters. I ran a 14 k PB on them, so they seem to be working well. These are the first blisters I have had since I started running! One on each foot in exactly the same location. I am just using ordinary Elastoplast now that the blisters have healed over; seems fine. Thanks IP. 🙂
If it's already blistered it's probably best to put a blister plaster on it to run again - I use compeed. I also put a piece of Rocktape (or any kinesiology tape) or Leukotape on top to make sure the plaster doesn't move. If the blister is gone, then you can just use tape. You just need to make sure it's ultra sticky else it is likely to move, wrinkle and make matters worse!
Thanks. I buy cheap Higher State ones, been on them since I started running, Never been a problem, they are nice and comfortable and I have lots of longer runs on them too in worse conditions but thanks.
For rubbing and blisters on the smaller toes, injinji toe socks are a great help. For those on the big toes, the double layer wrightsocks are fantastic.
