Did my first half in Chester this weekend and I loved every single minute of it. I was very much a "I only ever want to run 10k" girl but the runs got easier, I got stronger and made some fab running friends. Our time was 2h44 which we are both a little disappointed. I know I could have pushed harder but I was actually having do much fun. Got some more halfs on the cards and might aim for 2h30 for my next one.
Ps I dont even ache very much πππ

I may take some time later and post why I enjoyed it so much, describe the course , support etc. It really is a great one to do and Iβd thoroughly recommend it , especially as a first π
Brilliant! Personally I think the fun factor outweighs the time factor massively. It should be far more about having fun and smiles over miles rather than a stop watch ππ congratulations on your first half π π₯
Congratulations on completing your first half - and with a great big smile too! The first of many π I'm looking at Chester for next year so it would be great to read a race report.
Well done! Fabulous achievement and you look so happy. I did it too, a great day, well organised and I had a long weekend in Chester with the family as a bonus. I enjoyed it, but I don't think I was smiling as much as you. There seemed to be a lot more hills than advertised!
I saw you I was in it too, I was one of the Penyffordd runners in green vests. Well done you. Saw you coming in at the finish. Wasnβt it a great occasion. This was my first for 19 years. You looked really strong at the end, well downπππππ
Well done to you! Don't you look so very happy? Congratulations! πΎπ₯π ππ»ββοΈπ€ΈπΎββοΈππ»ββοΈπ€ΈπΎββοΈππ»ββοΈπ€ΈπΎββοΈππ»ππ π₯β‘οΈππ
