Hi everyone, I completed my HM this morning in and around Bognor RegisπββοΈ It was warmer than Iβd expected π₯΅ particularly towards the end so my hydration vestπ¦ was nearly empty when I finished!
I had an unexpected excursion at 14K to help up an old lady whoβd fallen overπ³ Luckily she was unhurtπ
Time is largely irrelevant but for the record I finished in 2:32:57π Oh, and itβs another 13.13 miles towards John OβGroats too!π

We couldn't decide which we preferred on Sunday - the rain/mud or the heat we had 2 weeks earlier. On balance I was less tired in the rain, but it had been in the 20s for the warm run and that's too warm for me!
Thanks Irishprincess, there was a chap looking over the garden wall at her but he was old too, so he couldnβt helpπ I ran into the garden, lifted her to her feet and checked she was ok. Then I gave her a wave π and went on my merry wayπββοΈ
Well done on the run. Glad the lady was OK. Itβs always good to know there are still kind people like yourself who help each other in these difficult times.
Great run David_G, excellent time and well done for rescuing a damsel in distress. The age of chivalry still evident on this forum! John O'Groats here you come π
Congratulations on a milestone run and distance. There's always something special about your first one and you learn so many things. Excellent running and you should feel so pleased π½π₯
Fantastic effort David_G ! And you included being a Good Samaritan too! π ππ
Good to hear about your hydration vest usage. I havenβt used mine yet this time round, and I was wondering whether my belt/2 small bottles would be adequate for my virtual HUHM next week. It was fine for 10 miles. Your post has made me realise Iβll need the vest thought - so thanks! π
Thanks cheekychipmunks! I think the belt was needed because it was so warm yesterday. Iβm not sure it would be needed today and I could have got away with 2 bottles. I suppose itβs down to personal preference and weather on the day. Having said that, Iβd prefer to have too much than too little water! π¦π
Sorry, a bit late seeing this David. Big congratulations on your HM! ππ»ππππ A fantastic achievement and superhero status assigned for helping the elderly lady too!βοΈπ
