Agree, this morning I ran what they call "a virtual parkrun" my 25th, over the last 3 months the parkrun people have been organising what they call (not) parkrun, which this morning was my 12th, they are good fun as I don't have to travel 25 miles on a bus to Dunfermline which is my 'home parkrun', no one really knows when the official ones will return.
When I run those locally near to where I live, I then submit a time and that appears on the Dunfermline (not) parkrun website.
So true Tbae. We may all have started c25k by ourselves but the support and encouragement of the forum folk is priceless and the reason many of us ( me😉) are still here I believe😊🏃♀️
Thank you to all the admins and mentors for all their work who keep this place a happy one.

I totally agree Tbae. I don’t do Facebook but on looking at it recently because of a change to race details, I was horrified at the venom of some participants. I think the forum Is positive and helpful just the way it should be and much of that is down to the wonderful volunteers who give up their time to keep it that way.

Apart from the wonderful support of VRBs ...which includes everyone on the forum, I am just so grateful for the amount I have gleaned by slurping up the wisdom and experience which can be found here in abundance and is so generously offered. 2 and half years ago I knew nothing about running...shoes, gait analysis, running watches; I didn't know my negative splits from my over pronation! I would have given up ages ago. So well done Tbae; a good time to pause and say "thanks everyone".

Yeah, this place is the kindest of any online places that I have visited. With knowledge, support, empathy and general help for all. None of the bar room brawl that you'll find on Twitter and even the best campfire Facebook groups don't come close. In addition, I have genuinely enjoyed your posts over the last few years, good sir. Your progress and good nature have always been a pleasure to read and follow. Now, get that marathon done so we can all celebrate! 😉
