March on us already? Marchons, marchons ! Or more accurately, courons, courons ! 🏃🏃
At the moment we only know of one runner taking part in a race this weekend, and it’s a biggie – the Harmonie Mutuelle Semi de Paris, i.e. the Paris Half-Marathon, on Sunday 5th March: harmoniemutuellesemideparis...
So let’s get cheering and waving those pompoms for the first time this month to wish ArthurJG Bon courage ! as he heads around the east of Paris towards the finish line on Place de la Bastille. 🏃♂️ Whatever you do, don’t lose your head on the way to that bling!
Anyone else out there racing this weekend and want a pompom cheer? If so, do send us the details!

Go ArthurJG ! Our intrepid HU runner. What a fabulous race for you to enjoy - Paris in the springtime. 😍 Please report back, we want to hear all about it! 🏅
My last race you mean? A week ago on Tuesday but that was just a wee 5k they have once a month in Edinburgh. Got a course pb (but that’s not saying much) and another one at parkrun on Saturday but haven’t run at all since: hope I haven’t tapered TOO much but with a ten hour train journey to factor in I didn’t want to be fatigued on the start line. I’ve only done one HM before and I think I’m better prepared for this one but time will tell.
Haha. No. I just couldn't believe it was Friday again, I thought today was Thursday 😍😍😍Dont worry about not having run since Saturday, fresh legs together with better preparation AND race magic will make for a heady combination, it should feel wonderful 😊 Enjoy!!!
I think linda9389 might be in a different time zone right now ArthurJG . 😉 She will keep swanning off across the globe and refusing to take all the rest of the forum with her. 🙄 Of course, it might just be that she's no idea what day it is! 🤣
Good luck ArthurJG .... I'm looking forward to hearing about this as I've followed the Women's running podcast as they prepare to do it with Sports tours Direct. What a lovely place to run. Enjoy!
Thanks everyone. Starting n the slowest group at at 1059 (0959 UK time) by which time the faster runners will have finished. In fact they start in three minutes and I’m still in nightwear. Confusing!
Green running T shirt with SCIAF branding and attached race number.
I got a five minute PB 🙂 2:36:19. To be fair it was only my second official HM so a 50:50 chance of a PB but I’m happy. Jeffing 90/30, that seems to work better for me especially over longer distances.
