I believe that the above is true. I feel comfortable and secure posting questions on here that I don't on the Facebook groups I belong to. This is due to one person. Silly I know but I do not need negativity in my life anymore. I have been told by my Drs that due to running I have been to able to come off one of my diabetes medications and hopefully if my Hb1Ac is OK in Oct /November then I will be able to stop taking the other one. This is the motivation I need to keep running.
Does it really matter if I can't run more than 3 miles twice a week as long as I do the required long run that week ? I am still running /walking or Jeffing. You only have one life which is why I am doing the Yorkshire Marathon. Of course I am not going to just turn up. I will train as I am preparing for the Cardiff Half which is two weeks before on 6th October.
Just to say thank you to everyone on the forum for the positive feedback.

Thank you. I don't run to lose weight. It has been a pleasant bonus. Type 2 diabetes can't be cured so I have read but it can be reversed. If I carry on as I have been hopefully I will never have to take diabetes medication again.
Kudos to you for making those healthy choices, absolutely brilliant that you have made such a significant change to your medication as well. Running shoes should be free on prescription...! Ignore the trolls
Thanks. Not easy to ignore the trolls but I found this forum is the best place to ask for advice as the person in question as far as I am aware is not on here. They mean well but they don't really know me.
You have no need to apologise for yourself on any level. You have half marathon after your name. Tell the other person to go and do an act of reproduction with themselves!
A close friend has reversed her type 2 diabetes but cutting out sugar, losing 4 stone and running. So yes, it’s reversible
