So I'd had a couple of cut back weeks due to holidays (and a slight sore ankle before that). I had managed a few short runs (+ some hiking, swimming and even paddle boarding: so some good cross training at least), but today was my first longer run for a couple of weeks: the HUHM virtual 10k. I stuck to Windsor Great Park again for this one - weather was good: cool and overcast, though did get a bit warmer than expected during the run. The park was pretty busy today though - in fact I first started the run before I entered the park, but then had to abort and restart due to the queues getting in. I started off well, but then slowed down a bit, however a couple of other runners joined in front of me about half way around. This gave me some more motivation first to keep up with them, then to overtake, and in the end I managed to get a new 10k PB (1:02:47), so I was very pleased with that!
In other news, F3 events have confirmed they have a Covid 19 plan for the Windsor River Trail Run on Oct 4th, and so they expect this to go ahead ( linda9389 FYI as well as you asked about this). Therefore I've now officially signed up to the HM event (I was previously provisionally down for the 10k event, which was postponed from May). So September is now going to be busy as I focus on completing the training plan for this!

What a brilliant run - the rest must've done you good! I cycled round Virginia Water and a bit of the park yesterday - I couldn't believe how congested Virginia Water was, especially as it wasn't the nicest of days! You did well to PB with all the obstructions!!! Well done.
Unfortunately I have now got myself another commitment on 4th October, but I definitely recommend that HM - it's relaxed and easy going and virtually the entire route is pretty (and flat) which you can't say about a lot of HMs! I hope you love it.
Yes I agree was surprised how busy it was around VW... I normally go there during the week either early morning or during the evening, so forgot what Sundays can be like!
