Taking part in Floss’s Blooming June Quest over on The Bridge.
Got my 10k and 20k ✅ off for Weeks 1&2.
Got my routes sorted, start times sorted, drinks and snacks sorted.
Thinking when I embark on my week3/30k/6hour trot that if I have to I am going to chunk it to get it done.Either way it is going to tell me a lot.Never been at that distance and time before.
If not now, when.🤔

Hmmm, I never give guidance on that, other than to say 'experiment' 😊 But I think small amounts of sugary things that you find palatable are the way to go!
Aww sorry Abi,but thanks, meant your fuel (head capacity) from your very informative posts packed with knowledge and expertise. The where with all to get me over the line.
I did a 10k Friday night, was pleased with my time, especially as the last three miles were uphill, but just couldn't get in the "mental groove".
I felt every footfall, every breath in and out, time seemed to crawl by etc. It was actually depressing and THAT has never happened before. Didn't get out today, too much to do and simply no time - up before 5am and just now back from the salt mines at 21:19.
But - it's very true that if I put off my FM quest, no guarantee the time will ever be "right".
Onwards and upwards. Will aim at a 15k tomorrow. BTW, did I mention temps in the high 80s here lol. 🥵
I've found a route that is exactly six miles out and back, which is giving me a boost of confidence. I trained for "new" distances before by doing laps of the Park, but running around it 38 times would not only be insanely boring, no way would I be able to keep proper count lol. My "usual" routes much the same problem if not quote as repetitive.
