Best thing that has happened for me is taking up running.Always wanted to but never thought it would happen.Found C25k,the HealthUnlocked Forum and support.Just needed to know of toxic ten and settled breathing and I was off.Never giving up trotting.
Wish I had received this card before lowering all my hedges.Brings a whole new opportunity to gardening with topiary.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Tbae, happy birthday to you" hip hip horay, hip hip horay.
Congratulations on your birthday Tbae, I just hope that you are NOT cutting that darned hedge today on your π. birthday π enjoy your birthday. π
No trotting for me at the mo been diagnosed mild arthritis in knee and doing physio exercises but hoping to resume in future in a small way π€·ββοΈ
Very well thank you, finding running hard after HM a fortnight ago, but am feeling a bit more energetic for todayβs 7k with 5x20sec strides so π€π» it was just a blip. Guess even if we donβt want to admit it, body does take a bit longer to recover now π
Iβm ok and still running π. Missed one run and an exercise session due to dog sitting. If I let him in the room with me he chews my exercise mat and keeps lying on it. If I lock him out he just scratches the door and howls. I had to get a new mat as he ripped the other one to bits. Heβs kept me awake half the night was being driven loony by a hedgehog on the patio. I ended up on the sofa rather than keep getting in and out of bed. We were on our first walk just after 5 am π.
My psoriasis is very bad and is making me fed up so getting out to run is lovely π
I am running later when the dog has gone home I might need a kip before then π
Gosh your so kind MW.Not surprised you need a kip.I could not handle that MW, sleep deprived.Come to think of it, could not do the dog favour now neither.Dog days long gone.
Hope you get a lovely sleep followed by a lovely run and your psoriasis improves.
Itβs a βbenchmarkβ run today I walk to the starting point then slow jog for 7 mins followed by a 3minute fast bit (fast, faster, fastest) followed by a lovely 5 minute cool down jog. Once a week on the marathon plan
Hopefully I wonβt have to dodge pedestrians, kids on bikes, flexi leads, loose dogs π. Itβs best when itβs raining and there are fewer folks about. The local nature reserve us hellishly stoney and the country park too hilly, so the local streets are it!
For intervals the Nike app is hopeless so I got IntervalsPro app as itβs voiced-over so you donβt have to look at your phone
Anyway, I was looking at the plan wrong for today and it was a 6.5 k run not a benchmarkπ. I duly set off and hadnβt got that far when I was hit on the head by a flying piece of plastic, which tore off my earphones π±. Really made me jump. Iβd just got myself sorted out and soon ran into a burst water main and had to wade through clayey water π. You never know whatβs in store do you π. I finished the run and found it came up nearly two km short π€¨. My watch said Iβd done over 7k but Nike app said Iβd done 5.05 km, so I had to start running again ππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Sorry about these challenges encountered.Your strong.I could not handle that.πͺβοΈ
Thanks for the info.
I can make something up very easily as I know the distances close to home and therefore a reasonable time on each segment.warmup, fast, faster, fastest and warm down with my normal walking and dynamic and post stretching routines first and last.
