I think this has been linked to before - but just wondered who is doing one of these challenges?
If you've not heard of it, take a look. You can sign up for a weekly challenge or a bigger one over a month. They also have a couple of challenges for children too. All profits go to NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Urgent Appeal. Something to keep you motivated and clocking up the miles, Β£10 entry, shiny medal - what's not to love? We are all missing our bling after all! ππ
I signed up for this at the beginning of May - 4 weeks, 100k! Only the second week in and I knew my foot needed a break from running πͺ. Easily done at the moment, except for this challenge. I emailed them and they very kindly reduced it to 50k, which I had already achieved. I feel a bit of a cheat, but i know the alternative is that I would've run on despite the foot pain π³. At least some of my money will go to the NHS charities, and I wil only get the 50k ribbon π. Better luck to you, and maybe I can redeem myself by paying for a weekly challenge once I'm sure my foot is OK!
Well done to you anyway Linda - you made the right decision? How is your foot now?
I have only signed up to the 50k, following four weeks of no running due to vertigo and being a bit cautious with my niggly knee!! I have been keeping my runs shorter. If I clock up more, then maybe I can upgrade to the 75k? Not sure how likely this is π, especially as I shall be back at work 5 days from tomorrow! π
I could learn a thing or two from your level headed restraint π
Foot is feeling better for two weeks off. I'll take it easy for a while (as I currently have no targets or pressure) and hopefully it will be OK. To be fair the pain did come out of the blue π
Good luck with your knee ... but also with your new work regime. Take care π
