This weekend should have been the (postponed from May) Edinburgh Marathon Festival events, which were replaced with a number of virtual challenges (#emfvirtual2020). All of the same feelings, emotions, worries were there. I ran my half marathon this morning with a buddy, which I’m not used to but it really helped get round the route as my training has been a hit up and down given current situation. In the end the conditions were great and I thoroughly enjoyed running in a bit of Edinburgh I’m less familiar with. We ended up overshooting the distance a wee bit, but still managed a not too shabby 1h 55m. So while the buzz of a big organised event wasn’t there, we still had a great time.

Congratulations on completing the Virtual Edinburgh Half Marathon in less than 2 hours, excellent time, I am so glad that you enjoyed your run today although it was only with one other runner, not the thousands that usually run the Edinburgh Half. 😊 🏃🏾
