Thought I would try a run but still got bad calf pain will I think it's my calf only managed half a mile realy not happy but did not push this time

Take care Paul..the issue with hamstring injury is, it impacts calf muscles also..best to really let it heal?

You got that 20-miler in ever so early for April. You could easily afford to take a couple of weeks off running - bike or swim to keep fit in the meantime, and do some gentle leg strength work.

You won't be able to run the marathon if you're injured! xxx

No maybe about it Paul. Overtraining causes injury. Recovery periods are an essential part of any training plan.
