Sorry to hear that. How long has it been since you hurt it? Mine took 4 weeks. I think I had some kind of micro tear. Rest and ice. I borrowed my husband's TENS machine, and that seemed to do it some good.

Take care! I hope you'll be back on the road very soon. It's such a flippin bore being benched isn't it!

Hi miss wobble

Well I did it end of January and had treatment and rest for a couple of weeks then went on holiday where I ran every day!!

Everyvhing was ok so I thought until the Monday I got back when I pulled it again!!!

Have had two weeks off since and iced it regularly and touch wood it is much better!!!

Sorry you are still struggling with your injury Gra. I had quite a bad calf tear in the past and it kept me out of C25k for quite some time. Luckily I haven't had any problems with it since. Best give it the time it needs and hopefully you'll be back out there soon. Take care.πŸ™‚

So sorry to hear the news Gra. Recurring injuries suck big time. I hope the rest this time will help and that you will fully recover so you can put it completely behind you. All the best.

Hi I'm so sorry to hear you've had a rotten calf injury I truly sympathise. I have been training for a Hm and was doing so well until five weeks ago set off for a steady 10k and literally felt my right calf pop it was agony I could barely put weight on it. It was early in the morning at my local park no one around to assist, I would have honestly preferred to have crawled on my knees but had to do the hobble of shame back to my car. An elderly couple then appeared taking doggy out and the gentleman, I use that term loosely! Said "I always said that jogging lark was bad for you" grrr.... I would have liked to have kicked him in the shin but baring in mind elder abuse is not acceptable and my leg was killing me I chose to politely ignore him.

I'm very fearful now of running again so I'm building strength with cycling and some aqua aerobics and plan a slow run on Sunday for 15 mins and see how it holds up. I hope you get back out there soon and have no nasty niggles I shall look forward to hearing about your positive return. Take care of yourself.

Hi there

Thank you Bunnygirl!

It is frustrating being injured and think I'm over it now!!

Have done a couple of steady runs and calf is ok!!

I like you did some aqua jogging swimming and cycling but as you know it's not quite the same!!

Hope you ok

Have you got any more runs planned?
