Nice little night trail tonight. Hmmm.

21 miles to reach the 1000 miles in 2019 mark.

Woohoo! Good for you! πŸ˜„

The mud reminds me of my childhood – we always had a bucket in the corner of the kitchen soaking my brother’s muddy rugby strip! I remember going to stay with a friend and being astonished that they didn’t have one in their kitchen! πŸ˜‚

I bet you have a plan for those 21 miles...πŸ˜„

You seem to be a lot muddier than your friends.

That's the problem when the snow melts; my shoes are now a muddy mess again. Great work πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ₯‡

That is just 10 minutes drive away. Good for you for getting out in it. Head torch running is brilliant!

By way of contrast, I am sitting in the warmth of our kitchen pouring over stats for my longer distance pace and reflecting on my recent upping of cross training with variations in benches, planks etc.

Conclusion; I need to slow down my first 10k....back to clock watching and relying less on feel! 7:04 /k for 10k is too fast for me as part of a 10 mile run. Not a breathing issue, just legs get a bit tight (could be the new exercises too I guess). Always something to work on, which is why running is so interesting. No PR for me tomorrow. Eldest is home and I must be a good dad! Go out and smash a PB !!πŸ‘Š

Awe have a great Christmas! I’m still not back to form yet. Was getting there and then Roseberry happened. 2020 is going to be me concentrating on pace and 5k up to half marathon only! There’s a double parkrun on NYD if you fancy it. And also I’m running between them both. If you fancy it, it’s 10 miles altogether. Park at Albert. Run to Stewart’s for 9am parkrun. Run to albert for 10:30 parkrun. We need a northern VRB meet up. Anyway - see you soon!

A straight run along Marton Road. Most people should be in bed so should be quiet. Will see how things work out. πŸ‘
