I think there must be something to this idea that running longer distances and hills improves your pace.
Usually I'm slower than usual on my evening runs coz of the dark, and damp pavements but today was a good run...I love a good run πββοΈπ
I'm finally starting to realise that rest is important too, so after running 10 miles on Sunday I decided to give myself 3 full rest days π± without a run to ease my aching legs fully before heading out again...I think it worked!
Did I mention how much I love a good runπ

Good stuff Run46. The hills and long distance runs have helped my speed over 5k too. I sometimes take a bit of a breather in the 4th K to leave enough energy for a quicker finish...especially at Park Run where there some sneaky people around who like to pass you on the line π
That looks like an absolutely perfect run! Rest days are so important - it takes confidence to rest for more than a standard day between runs, but once you have that confidence there are a host of benefits to be had π - none better than a good run!
