Perfect running conditions - cloudy but mild so t-shirt and shorts. In December? Fantastic. My lovely work friend Sarah joined me. She did the first race of the Forestry 100 series in March at Bedgebury Pinetum when apparently it was freezing.
The course was a 3-lapper. I'm not a fan of these multiple lap courses as you know what's coming after the first lap and it's never nice. Some slippy muddy sections where trail shoes would have been useful but I powered round to a 10k PB of 52:15, smashing my previous PB by a massive 3 seconds, and WV50 winner.
Yippee, I can rest now, no more events until 2020.
