Boo, I'm grounded:

No running for me for a few days. Chest infection still here. Another course of antibiotics: 10 days this time. I'm allowed to run once I start feeling better, hopefully in time to begin this year's Marcothon December streak. It's almost certain I ran Oxford half with it coming on. So here is a nice tranquil image to calm my frustrations.

Oh grrrr. 😕 Nasty for you. And so frustrating. Time of year, lots of it about, blah, blah.... None of it helps much if you’re the target. Get well soon. 💕

in reply to Granspeed

Thanks. This came on before Oxford half, but I didn't realise it. Grrr as you say xx

Sorry about your chest infection Flick, just have to rest from running until it heals, I hope it won't stop you from running the December 🎄 🎅 Marcothon, but don't rush into that, make sure the doctor or physio gives you the all-clear before you run that, keep warm.

in reply to AlMorr

Thanks Alan. She did say i could run when I start to feel better.

That figures! You came into my dreams last night! We were standing on a heath overlooking the sea. It was a mass of yellow flowers among the grass xxx

Sorry to hear that Flick. Come back even more awesome! A break can also work wonders elsewhere while your chest clears-up.

in reply to Lordi

Thanks Gary. I've had too many breaks from running this year, what with the knee playing up, and then 11 days with this infection on the last round! - but i shall grit my teeth and persevere x

Feel better soon Flick. Your whole body will have had a chance to recover. Try to find some positives. Be back soon, but only when you're better - not because it's 1st December 😘

in reply to linda9389

snigger - you know me too well, though honestly I couldn't run feeling like this anyway. My body is going to take some stick with 10 days antibiotics.

Saw your Strava feed FlickM3 and I've got my claws crossed that the antibiotics start to work.

😔 Hope you feel better soon Flick. You did really well to run the half feeling poorly, especially the way the weather was! Xx

in reply to Clairecandothis

Thanks Claire. I didn't realise i was ill - I should have as the symptoms were coming on, but I'm not used to being ill and the dog allergy thing masked the symptoms xx

Two rounds of antibiotics. Crikey 🤨. Mind you I had two for my psoriasis. Not that it helped 😁

Can you do some yoga at home? Those inversions may help move things along 🙂.

I am going to get the mat out today 🧘‍♀️

Take care x

in reply to misswobble

Thank you x No yoga as even that has me out of breath and my chest tight. x
