Yesterday, while some of you were battling through the rain, I made the excuse that I was working for not going out. This morning though the sun was shining. It was about 5 degrees, no wind and, although I really should have done the next ride in my bike challenge I fancied a run. I havenβt done much over 5k since GSR so decided to go for my November 10k. I chose the route which I knew would be relatively free of mud and puddles and set off at what felt like quite a leisurely pace. At 8k I suddenly realised that I would be close to my PB time, so upped the pace slightly and then did a 6:06 final km (fastest of the run π) to finish on 1:03:32, taking 15 seconds off my PB. So, 1 mile, 2 mile, 5k and 10k PBs in the space of a week π₯π₯ Stupidly pleased with myself. Happy running everyone πββοΈππ»ββοΈπββοΈππ»ββοΈπββοΈππ»ββοΈ

Well done Sandie. Nothing quite like a brace of PBs to keep you motivated.
Good for you Sandie, thatβs great work πββοΈπͺ Always sweeter when itβs not expected π
Whoop! Your smashing these PBs recently πππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Thatβs fantastic Sandie! Whatβs your secret?!
Brilliant Sandie. I wondered if the bike riding would complement your running! You are flying !! ππππππββοΈπββοΈπ₯
Thanks BC! I was surprised how easy it seemed - I think I may have finally got the hang of this running malarkey. Just donβt ask me to do hills!
You know you want to! I ran 10k on Sunday in 1:07 something, but incorporated all of my now regular hills (not the unrunable massive ones I attempted last week). It was 45 seconds off a PB. Not easy to make valid comparisons with previous flatter routes. The climbs slow me down, but the downhills are great with high cadence short steps. Think it is just different, but nice to have a new challenge and it should help my fitness. Hard to find hills in Lincolnshire I guess?
Fabulous! You definitely made the right call to run rather than ride - it was clearly meant to be π
Blimey Sandie! I did a similar thing at the beginning of the year, itβs fab isnβt it? Such a brilliant feeling! ππππx
Great work Sandie! Itβs a great feeling especially when it is a surprise. ππΌππ
You are on a roll Sandie, I think the cycling must be helping your running along too. Wow, so many PBs in one month. Not to mention your weight loss. You are a star βοΈ π« πββοΈ

Wow, great pace Sandie, well done on your PB's too πββοΈππ
Brilliant! Thereβs a sub-60 mins 10k in there you know... π
Super run Sandie! Congrats on a new PB and a speedy last k!ππͺ
And you have every right to be 'stupidly proud of your self' - well done ππππ
