Not sure what to take tomorrow. Club vest and leggings of course, but which other layers? Planning not helped by deciding to extend the 10k by jogging to the start (4 miles) and then lunch with friends afterwards.
I got the idea for extending the 10k from the Marathon group club coaches as a way to build up form for HM’s - a way of getting the extra miles in for time poor runners like me.
Anyway it’s a good excuse to take the camelbak octane 10 out for a spin...

Blimey, we’re getting the bus....😂.....anyway, not sure about leggings for me, I’d prefer to be in my skort.....every time i’ve done this run, as it starts cool, I end up too hot......what about your magic jacket? We’ll be using the bag drop for warm jackets......
If it’s really cold I do a base layer.......but we’re not there yet.....
Yep tricky one - it’ll be frosty when I start in Madingley, but the race isn’t going to be anything like as warm as last year - 12 degrees max, and then I’ll need to put on layers (less sweaty I hope) at lunch!
Good luck to you MadDave for your 10K run tomorrow, the weather forecast is for dry weather for the Cambridge area, dry but cloudy with the temperature around the 10/13C range, so don't put on too many layers.
Cambridge, the home of that famous choir of Kings College, no doubt the 10K route will pass that famous building.
Every Christmas Eve for the last 40 years or so I have listened on Radio 4 to the 9 Lessons and Carols from King's College Cambridge, I also have a double CD of the choir singing Christmas Carols, enjoy your run tomorrow. 👍🏃🏾
I forgot to take a warm top for afterwards, and I got really cold while chatting and waiting for peeps to finish. I walked home like the clappers 😁. Food then hot bath 🛀 ☕️ I’m typing this in bed as i’m Still cold. I put the heating on though 🙂
