No flying feet: in fact I’m horrified to see I was heel striking in some - I put it down to the knee and slow pace. The bulge round my middle, I hasten to add, is my Buddy Pouch with phone, space blanket etc.

What fab photos Flick! You look full of smiles..!🙂👍
Thank you! Impossible not to smile with so many people cheering runners on x
Some great photos there Flick. Your smiling face is hiding the struggle well 🙂. You can see how wet it was early on though!
Absolutely dragged that smile up for the finish line 😂😂😂
And looking every part the runner that you are. Great pics, although I had to double take at your name on one of them! 😲
I carefully dotted the i 🤪🤪🤪
🤣🤣That’s funny.Just had to look and the raining lashing down.🤣🤣
It was worse at the beginning of the run. My hair was drying out by the end
You certainly don’t look as bad as you described you felt Flick. These photos look great, I have yet to see a photo of me running that I like. It looks very wet in that first one.
I’m pleased with the photos. Honestly, there was a camera every ten yards just about!
You do look like a runner in those great photos of you Flick, you look so happy as well, no sign of the way you described the run on Sunday, I hope Mr IDS will buy and frame those photos in the living room of your house. 😊 🏃🏾
It was hard to look glum because everybody was so encouraging as we went round. I think Mr IDS is sick if the subject - he’s has three months of me waffling about my training 😂😂😊
O dear, what it's like for a non runner to be married to a HM or marathon runner, I am sure he must appreciate all the effort his wife puts into running.
He’s a sportsman himself, used to do cross country, but he wrecked his knees playing football in his youth
you look amazing!!
and very fit
definitely get a couple printed out to keep as a book mark or something, something you see more often than when you remember to click on a link
Thank you 😊❤️ I like the closeup against the trees best . I will get that framed xx
I like the progression in the photos, the first you look wet and then they get better and better!! It's a miracle when someone looks perfect in a photo. In fact I then think it's been doctored! So cool, well done!
I’m pleased with them. Especially the closeup with the trees behind xx
Beautiful photos Flick. Strong and proud and happy 😊🥰 xx
Thank you lovely- strong, proud and at last gasp by the end! Xx
You look amazing! You should see some of mine...😫😁
Thank you! I would love to see yours! Some of mine were dire
You look so happy. I always look like I'm about to die in mine, I've never been tempted to buy any.
It was the manic grin. Everybody was cheering runners by name, and there were photographers everywhere, so my jaw practically seized up smiling and saying thank you 😂
Great photos! I would look like a sweaty raspberry or soggy beetroot but you look amazing! Definitely the one with the trees close up is worth a frame and prominent position somewhere. X
Thank you. It was too cold and wet for sweaty! 😊
Brilliant photos Flick! They all look great and you look so happy in them.
Thank you. It was impossible not to smile with people cheering you on by name. I was actually dying in the finish line one! 😂
As we know you are a great photographer yourself, Flick, it's especially nice, and unusual, to have good photos taken by someone else. Mind you, those tights will make any lens focus 😳
You look great. Well done again.
Thank you! There were photographers all along strategic parts of the route. It was difficult not to fall over them- especially the ones lurking in the undergrowth in the park 😂
You look like you’re loving it! Fantastic job, well done you!x
Thank you. I was nearly dying by the end, but people kept cheering me by name so i had to keep smiling. x
You look fabulous Flick! You don’t look as if you’re in pain at all. And I love those leggings 😘
Thank you! It’s amazing what dredging up a smile can do! I love the leggings. They are by Lucy Locket Loves. I usually run in Sturdy by Design, but these were too tempting to pass up xxx
Looking fantastic Flick! 😄
I remember the days when you thought you would never manage 5k!! How far you have come ( & run!!) xx
Thank you! Yes, gosh, or even five minutes. I can remember the euphoria at running for 20 minutes non stop week 5 run 3. Who knew! Xx
Great pics! You’re smiling in them all!
Thank you - if you wrote your name on your bib, everybody cheered you on, so I spent a huge part of the race smiling and giving them thumbs up or thanking them. It was quite hard to keep doing it, but I do think the support helped a lot - and the crowd and support staff must have been exhausted by the end of the day, cheering on over 10,000 runners!
What great pics Flick! You look great.
Thank you Allie x
Bit late in posting, not been around for awhile. Great pics., Nothing wrong with heel striking - it's been debated and it's just fine. Sorry can't give you the reference...but! So simply run, enjoy, and from the pictures I think you do just that. Happy running 🌻
Thank you x I’m normally a mid foot striker and my shoes wear their most, it when I’m knackered I heel strike. I’m glad it’s ok 😊❤️
