I'm pleased to be able to report that I had a stent put in this afternoon and have been signed off to go home tomorrow π.
Tomorrow's training plan is for a gentle 5 minute walk but it's possible that won't be going on Strava.

Wow thatβs great progress in a short space of time! Excellent! Enjoy your walk πͺπ½
Glad that you are going to be able to go home - please rest up well and follow your Consultants advice. Good luck.π
Bet your walk will feel fantastic. Baby steps, but youβll be back! β€οΈ
Excellent news! Nice to know you've been 'fixed' too I imagine, rather than just hoping you don't hit bad luck again π. Enjoy that short walk (at least it should have cooled down a bit by morning π€£)
Exactly! It's reassuring to have been thoroughly checked out. I'm going to be on rehab for around eight weeks which is good because they can tell me how much exercise to be doing. There's talk of them doing a stress test in a year's time so I'll finally get an accurate figure for my max HR (although there must be easier ways of getting that!)
Good news! Take it very slow and steady mind! Be nice to be back in your own bed ππ»π
The best bit was getting rid of the ECG I was wired up to. Every time they reset it, it defaulted to a minimum pulse of 50 but my rest pulse is around 44 so every time I drifted off, the alarm went off. ππ€ππ²π²π²
That's daft! If they knew your RHR was lower they should have changed it! π€£π€£π€£
Excellent news. Running after a stent is very doable. Youβll be out there again before you know it
Great news! Take care and good luck with your progress from here on.
That's great news! Enjoy your walk tomorrow πΆ
Oh I am so pleased they have sorted you out! And to be under their care and get on advice and how and when to exercise will be invaluable. It will be nice to get home, too. I wish you all the best for your recovery, and your eventual return to running. x
Great to see you are back on your feet already. All the walking will help you enormously in your recovery.
Looking forward to your updates
Fabulous news!!!!! xxx
Sorry to hear of your health scare. I hope youβre feeling better and planning your return to running. Being out of action seems interminable when youβre in the midst of it, but if you keep positive and do your exercises and rest etc, youβll soon be back πππͺπͺπ₯πββοΈ
I think Paul who posts here has had heart issues and has posted about it π
Thanks MissWobble.
If you're interested, I posted "Heart Attack Journal" on here this morning which goes into more detail.
I think you're referring to paul1960, I'll take a look...
