This was going to be a post about how rubbish today's run was but then I realised it's good to be able to do any running in this heat. Unusually for me, I'm sleeping OK in this heat which means that I can get out for my runs.
Last Thursday, I did 2 intervals, each 20 minutes. The first was comforably within my target and the second was 1 second / km below. This week, the first interval was 2 seconds / km below and the second, 1:19/km below target. I've just checked and last week it was 16C whereas today I think it was around 20C.
I guess I should be happy with having got out there and managing to cover a total of 10k.

Yes you should. 10k is a lot when it’s this warm. Well done!
Yes, that’s great! 👍😃🏃♂️💦🥵. I did a 7k yesterday after about 2k of intervals, but it was a struggle.
Looking ahead to this weekend when I have a 17 km run, it seems that Saturday is going to be coolest at 20 degrees, with heavy rain. The heavy rain sounds gorgeous doesn’t it 😁💦💦☔️
Sure does! It's due to hit us in Bristol on Friday morning; having run this morning, tomorrow's my gap day so I'll miss out on the rain. Looks like my best bet for the weekend long run is Sunday morning.
I went out to do 17 km but ended up doing 20 km to get me back home
Last night I couldn’t sleep as it was too hot so I got up. I was tucking into porridge and peanut butter at 4.00 am 😃😋. I went back to bed after pottering about in the kitchen and didn’t get up til 12.30 pm
🛏 💤 😴 I think the run took more out of me than I thought. Just had a big cooked breakfast to restore my equilibrium Feel ok now 😁
I want some of your heavy rain misswobble! 💦💦💦💦💦 I don’t think we have any forecast for Bristol this weekend, but anything is better than this heat. 🥵🥵🥵🥵
I was in my greenhouse today in the pouring rain after a thorough drenched helping OH fetch and carry timber and boarding It was warm and dry in there as I pottered but I couldn’t stop my specs fogging up 😁. Two Marmande tomatoes and a cucumber. Yay 😃
