Finally invested in a water carrying belt

I figured it was probably a good idea to start carrying water (at least for my long runs). Should be interesting to see if it has any effect on my running!

I hope you get in ok with it. Good luck 😃👍

I stupidly got the wrong size flasks to use with my trail capri’s, which have a side slide pocket on each leg I tried to stuff an oversized flask down each leg - 500 ml instead of 250 ml size ☺️🙈 I could kick myself sometimes 😁☺️

I guess that's one of the down sides of buying online. I have a cunning plan i.e. to use the mineral water bottle I bought with my lunch on Saturday. Not sure how long it will last but it should do for now.

Which one did you go for ski? I need to upgrade my existing one. If I go long I have to carry a water bottle in my hands. Doesn't bother me but not ideal.

I was looking at the Flipbelt Hydration or the Spi Belt H20 venture.....

Update after today's "field trial": it worked a treat! The belt holds the bottle at an angle, it's comfortable, doesn't move around, and I hardly noticed it whilst running. I found a 750ml water bottle in a cupboard but it's an hourglass kind of shape so the wider ends didn't fit into the holder. I ended up reusing a 750ml mineral water bottle and that was fine.

As long as the bottle fits and dont slide its a win. Thanks for the info. Just checking it out 😎

There's a piece of elastic that secures the bottle and a second loop of elastic that goes round the neck of the bottle so it's pretty secure.

Hi Windoze. I went for an AiRun Tech running belt with water bottle holder from Amazon. It looks like it should cut the mustard but I'll know better after the field trials (scheduled to start tomorrow). NB it doesn't come with a bottle but I guess that means having more scope to choose a suitable one.
