My race for life - admittedly only 5k - was in July last year, on a stinking hot day with an 11am start. It was all on grass or loose stone trails and everywhere was dry and dusty after no rain for weeks. The air was impossible - sift your oxygen out of the dry dust! At least we've had plenty of rain recently so the ground shouldn't be dusty. There. Feel better about it now? 🤭 Grab two bottles of water at the finish line just in case

That sounds like it was brutal Linda. It hasn’t filled me with much confidence! 😅 Ours is on a mix of roads and grass (hopefully mowed nice and short 🤞🤞) and I’m going to take advantage of all water available, both for drinking and throwing over my head/down my back!

I *think* Sunday is supposed to be a little less hot and sunny. Here’s hoping!

I have a 5 mile run it’s out on country lanes into wide open space scenery will be beautiful.

Runners are allowed to run as yet it’s the marshals that could as yet pull the run

12.20 set off so will be a hot one
