Why the pretty lamb? I couldn’t resist after knocking out a PB and the lovely Wimpole Park run, when I felt I was doing a recovery pace. 3 weeks to go until the flaming half marathon (Histon) on 2nd June.
Unlike my previous (and 1st) HM in March, my training plan seems to be working and isn’t making me feel like I need to be on ibuprofen & voltarol 24/7. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
Reasons why it’s easier this time:
1) I don’t have a horrible cold that’s been hanging around for weeks,
2) it’s a bit warmer
3) club coaching, especially speed and hill work seems to be working
4) electrolyte & berocca seem to help with better stretching & no post run cramps.
🤞🏃♂️😁

Sounds good, got our 20k out the way this morning - Edinburgh half in two weeks.....was getting pretty toasty by the time we got back, don’t envy you the potential temps for flaming June!.....🥵......
On the wildlife, I’ll raise you an early morning sun bathing grass snake.....very rare sight..... Didn’t get a pic as we thought it would disappear by the time we’d got the phone out.....😂
I like the rehydration tabs for recovery after long runs, took some gels whilst out today, they were ok, I’m never sure if they really help or not....as I use jelly babies most of the time....
