Today’s long run was supposed to be 17km. However, as it’s London marathon day I thought I would try something a little different and ran for just over 2 hours, a similar time to the marathon record, to see how far I could get compared to the best. Kipchoge, Sir Mo and the others are super humans!

Nice one!
Thanks roseabi. This was the run that finally convinced me that I will be able to complete a half marathon I have entered in June.
Oh that's great news! What's the event? We'll give you a cheer if you'd like?
It's the Southend HM on 9th June. The Royal Parks in October was going to be my first HM but I thought I would have enough time to prepare for Southend then have a rest before preparing for the Royal Parks.
I'm very tempted to enter the ballot for London next year. At the moment it seems like a big step up especially when I haven't done a half yet.
