Beachy Head Marathon!!!! Crikey A MARATHON!!!!! Eeek and on Beachy Head (don't look down) Good luck Roseabi
Good luck everyone racing. I do hope the weather's kind for you, and that there's cake at the end. At the start and in the middle wouldn't be bad either
I didn't know that pumpkin weightlifting thing. I shall give it a whirl as I have a plethora of em in my conservatory All shapes and sizes to choose from.
Im just sorting out my running gear. What to wear on Sunday? Bitterly cold here today with hail and sleet showers and windy. Forecast not much better for Sunday. Suppose I'll just run faster if Im cold
Good luck everyone!! Hope you crush that marathon roseabi like we know you will!!
Summer has awoken here in SA and today's temps are at a lovely 40 degrees... so yes it will be a real triathlon this morning with a no wetsuit swim (23 degree water yesterday)!!! But we might die in the heat as we are only starting the race at 09:40!!
Will provide a full report when I get home later today!
ARG, I missed pompom time! Though all wishes of luck are a given anyway π Looking forward to hearing/seeing all the reports though, so many cool things going on this weekend π
Wow an amazing collection of medals in the bag this weekend, hope you all had a fabulous time!
Good morning all. Thanks for the honourable mention! Happy to report a glorious day for a marathon in Dublin - quite cold at the start but we all know how that goes. A lot to be said for wearing something warm at the start that you don't mind ditching - I believe that the clothes are all gathered up and passed on to charities so a win-win all round. Started with my brother - same legendary brother as last year - and my lovely husband. Not a big lover of loud noise but didn't find it quite as terrifying as last year - even got and gave lots of high fives on the way. The crowds in Dublin are unbelievable - I don't believe that there is as much as 50 meters without at least one supporter from the start line to the finish line. With huge support from my husband and brother at the start, my husband then dropped back to run with a friend's son and took 6 minutes off the young man's pb! I kept running with my brother and with a few wobbly walking spots in the middle section managed to finish in 4:22 - 16 minutes faster than last year!! And now that I can walk down stairs without wincing again - so tempted to sign up for it again next year!! Signing up for Edinburgh marathon with my daughter and husband - this will be her first marathon.
