Special Pompey poms poms being waved for my running buddies TailChaser , Sandie1961 , cheekychipmunks and Shake-and-run at Burghley. And Katnap and Windoze at Draycote Water. So great that meet ups are back again! I am sure the enjoyment of the social will surpass the run.

Thank you Cheeky I’m hoping I remember to start my watch. 🤔😬 I’ll be very nervous. There are two international gold medalists in the team so the pressure is on not to let them down. Scared is an understatement but excited too! I haven’t felt like this for ages. It reminds me of my school days when I used to run in county events. Terrified but thrilled!

😂😂😂 Thank you Sandie1961 I’ve stopped running anything over 1km for the past 4 weeks. Speed is my thing I think 🤔 anyway at least for this year. I’ll see how it all goes. Maybe back to Parkrun in the autumn.

It really is a case of just taking part isn’t it. It’s like that for most of the runners as there are scant few in with a chance for the top spot. If there’s cake and bling I’m there ☺️
