Plantar fascia

Nearly a year since I started C25K. I had done one 10K race in may which went well, then two weeks later damaged the plantar in my right foot. I couldn't run for two months and my foot still hurt when I started doing gentle 5K's every other day. If the pain had gone by my rest day I would go out again and after 5 or six runs I could barely feel it. These gentle runs are so helpful.

August and Sept went well running regular 5ks and during October I have started to build up my weekly mileage base. I have signed up for the Snowdonia half marathon in may next year which is local, and is part of my 55 year old bucket list. I hope to have run a couple more before then.

I ran my first park run last week and really enjoyed it, i have to remember to take some money next time so I can have a cup of tea afterwards!

I have invested in a Garmin forerunner 235, which is great on the runs and I can sync it using the USB cable, but if you want Bluetooth to work I would be wary of this model.

I am on strava now, does anyone use any of the paid for services and do they feel that these services are helpful?

I'm glad to hear your foot is better, and well done for signing up for the half marathon - exciting!!!

There are a few people here that use Strava premium (Summit). I suggest that you rename your post, so that they can see what you're asking about 😊

Thanks Roseabi, the Conwy half marathon is in 27 days and I am tempted to try that one for some experience, I will see how I feel in a couple of weeks. I will try a new post about strava.

Why not?! Sounds like fun 😊

Good idea to do a separate post.

I’ve been using my 235 for a year with bluetooth without issue (mostly) so try again. Sometimes just need to toggle bluetooth off and on again on the phone for it to pick up the garmin. Snowdonia half looks great 😀

Thanks Macmac I think the 235 s great, I couldnt get the Bluetooth to work but it syncs so well through the usbs and garmin express that I dont think it matters.
