I started getting a pain in my left heel about 6 weeks ago. Painful in the morning and after longer runs. When I looked at my shoes, I noticed that the left heel was worn away. I replaced those shoes based on recommendations from a running shop about 2 weeks ago.
The pain still persists I’ve cut down my distance per week considerably (was not well, so that helped!) but haven’t stopped running completely.
I think I may have plantar fasciitis and metatarsalgia (pain under second toe of left foot) and have been scouring YouTube for solutions. So far, only rolling my foot on a golf ball has provided some relief.
Any advice and suggestions would be most welcome.
Happy running!

Oh no, poor you. I had a really short spell of PF after coming out of an orthopaedic boot and it was really uncomfortable. I got straight at it with an iced bottle, spiky balls, a golf ball, foot stretches and calf raises and was really lucky that it cleared very quickly. I hope yours eases soon, although it may be worth speaking to a physio if it doesn't ease with rest, particularly with the metatarsalgia as well. Good luck. You have my sympathies 🙁
