I've not got much response to the post...maybe because the c25kers probably don't believe it or think it is some elaborate "humble brag"! I truely believe those first runs on c25k were the hardest thing I've done running-wise, with the w6 25 mins run perhaps the hardest!

I'm not able to comment as I'm not part of the community, but that's such a lovely inspiring post. Of course, I'd have thought of you as a superhuman if I read it back doing my first C25k runs! I'm still not sure you're not 😁 I don't remember the very first one but I do remember being so proud of myself for running for a minute and a half for the first time 😊 It was hard. I really hurt afterwards. I went kind of purple in the face. My progress was exponential back then though, I miss those days! I've plateaued I think, I make tiny improvements occasionally but this is probably my natural level now. And that's great, I can run for a couple of hours and still feel good at the end, I really couldn't imagine that this time last year, purple-faced and hobbling home after my walk/run intervalsl!
I guess new starters are incredulous and maybe don't feel 'big' enough to reply. But that doesn't mean they won't take anything from your post - seeds will be sown and confidence will grow, and at some point in the future people starting out just now will maybe think to themselves ... remember that incredible person who ran a marathon so soon after completing C25K? wonder how far I can get .... ?
It was an amazing post, I really, really don't think you can judge it's effectiveness simply on the number of replies
Thanks for all the reassurance that I didn't make a giant faux pas over there on c25k! If it helps a single W1Wx c25ker see the light at the end of tunnel I'm happy!
Of course I left out the bit about trips to the IC, regular niggles, muscles tenderised my steak mallets and spending a fortune on race entry fees and 3 pairs of top end shoes per year!
Totally agree Lordi - for me w1R1 wasn't just the hardest of all, it was the hardest by a street mile! Have just done a reply to your original C25k post.
