If you are training for an event then this may be a great way to help keep you focussed on getting the miles in!! If you aren't then its a great way to get out there and run a bit more!!!
At the end I will tot up all of our miles to see how far we would have ran round the moon, so lets aim high!!!
I have done a pitiful 23.6km so far π Grrrr at my stupid leg! Didn't want to aggravate it and pull it further so have been taking it easy this week. Hopefully tomorrow's 10k won't upset it, and then I'll be back on the long runs again π€
I am sooo bad with internet and blogs... I disappeared again... SOOOOORRRRYYYYY!!!!
If you accept my apologies and you still need a contribution to your trip to the moon, I can give you mine:
so far, in August I ran 158.3 miles, + 10 miles on the 31st of July. So my tot would be 168 miles (270.8526 Km --> 271 Km?) for the first 3 weeks.
My objective for the summer was to get at least 40 miles per week, increasing speed with intervals, and so far I managed that almost every week (I missed one on holiday on which I got 31 miles). For August, I guess, my goal would be 160-170 miles. Let's make it 190 miles (~300 Km) for this challenge considering where I am now with only this week to go. This week will be tapering for the 10K of the second...But hopefully I should add 25-30 miles.
let me know if I can join the group (I do not do strava though)
it is the preparation for the city Belfast HM at the end of the month, and my 10 K debut (there is always a first time )on Sunday the second. I am tapering this week, but I should be able to get to my target of 190 miles. I am at 163.4 mi, I should get at 180 by Friday (adding the 10 miles on the 31st of July, it would be 190 ).
I cannot see my mileage/ Km in the list you linked in your response. I think I am missing something probably. When is the last day in which we can post the final mileage?
Find it so annoying that strava doesn't give you credit for treadmill running, my Strava stats show 63.9k for August (plus5. 5k on 31st July) but the moon running group only shows the 19k I have done outside π‘π‘
It only shows the data per week, Monday to Sunday. The previous week's numbers are also available - I've been grabbing a copy of those at the beginning of a new week.
Hi ju-ju-! Iβll be at 120k rather than 90 by the end of the month! Im a teacher so have grabbed the chance to do loads of extra running this month. Back to normal after next week π¬
