It was a rule that you had to have one or the other... I've never used a chest light so I used a head torch which I could adjust to a few meters in front of me so I could avoid puddles and roots!!

Looks great. Was the whole trail like that? I might run in the dark on such a nice even trail. Beautiful medal!

The trails varied from 4-5 meters down to about 2 but they were all OK-ish underfoot. As it was wood, you did have to look out for roots etc. The event was a "public" park so some preparation had been made for the normal public to the paths.
