When you've completed one marathon, why not do 43 more?

Quite an accomplishment, but neither he nor the article mention the fact that at least some of these are not actual races, but him running a marathon distance.

I see that Oslo is on his list, but there aren't any marathons in Oslo this time of year. I wondered where he actually ran, so I've checked his website against an official list of races, and there weren't any marathons in Norway on the date he ran. I also see from the photo that he ran in Oslo city centre, and there certainly wasn't anything on then.

Sorry to be so picky! He is definitely an impressive man.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts. When I learned that he's run every day I thought that it was impossible that they were all 'organised' races. By my calculations he was in UK on the day of the London Marathon... I wonder if he competed in that?

I'm glad you didn't think I was too unkind.

I thought the same as C3PO when I first read the story. And of course it makes things a little easier when he can do the runs as-and-when it happens to fit into the overall logistics. But that doesn't change the fact that 44 x 42 km in 44 days is an awful lot of running. Well done to him!
