I'm just gearing up to go out to the woods but it still looks dark out there. I'm hoping to do 8 miles today and ditto tomorrow...
I'd love to know what all your plans are..
Happy weekend running guys

Having a rest day today. Doing the Bicton Blister off road 10 miler on Sunday in East Devon.
Rest day today. If I get out tomorrow I think it will probably be another cheeky little 'un but thinking of trying out some distance again in the coming week.
Hey ju ju
Just done my local parkrun did sub 22 mins best time for a while
Training is paying off!!
Graππ
Wow, nice one!
No weekend running for me, as usual. Hoping to manage the Christmas Eve parkrun!
I've got 15 misty km sorted this morning, and will soon be going in to York to browse the Christmas stuff on the market. Probably an early dinner in town, and then home to light a fire and just chill and hibernate for the next 36 hours. Bliss.
Wow that sounds like a perfect day to me... I've just spent 4 hours cleaning out my daughters room!!! But I did do my trail this morning so all good π
York was busy but lively. The food was good and the wine even better. Finished with hot chocolate and chocolate kisses from a market stall. All guilt free as the calories were burnt this morning. Running is great!
I will be running tomorrow. I now see I was supposed to run today. Oops π 10k as per plan, but might keep going if the weather is good
I was busy this morning, and am now listening to the match on the radio whilst dog sitting. it was lovely out when I went out earlier to walk him βΊ
Planning to run on the trail βΊ
Rest day today, 11K+ tomorrow morning.
I've been to parkrun this morning, it was very chilly- numb hands as it seemed warmer when i set off in the car! we had to do a garmin free run as it was a memorial run where people compete for a cup, by trying to guess their time. i put 29.22 but did 28.16, so no where near but my 2nd fastest ever parkrun so happy with that , and my friend ran with me and got her 1st sub 29mins Nice walk tomorrow with the family up on the Downs, we are going to go back to where we grew up as it would have been my mum's 85th birthday tomorrow
Ah that's nice Ali. I hope you have a lovely time. Good news about your Parkrun time!
Yep, I sat and listened to the footy and the dog sat on my knee. We won!
That sounds nice with the dog for company. π
George is going to enjoy out big walk this afternoon I hope. Pub tea after and my brother Andrew is over too so 4 out of us 5 here. My middle brother was due to do his 1st half marathon today in Kent but had come down with one of his migraines. He sounds really disappointed πx
Yesterday I did my usual outdoor circuits class, beautiful sunny morning, really enjoyed it. This morning I am hoping to do about 12-14 km, although I am still quite wheezy from having had a cold this last week.
Have a great Sunday!
Ooh migraine! Damn them! I wonder if it's a combo of stress and fatigue π―
Have a great day petal π
I am getting tea cooked for me again today by my son. Jambalaya π That's the dish, not his name π
We all have good runs and not so good runs.... yesterdays 11k+ was really hard ... Think I'm still trying to recover from a busy week of runs & gym and a 10k race last weekend. Think I always struggle to work out when to run more and when to rest more... Think today will be the latter!!
Hi Ju-Ju, I volunteered at parkrun yesterday and did Bassingbourn 10 miler this morning (Bass Belle 10 miler). Super, super happy, smashed my first 10 miler time by 10 minutes! π Although, I do have to say, the first one was mainly off road with some great big hills, and this one was mostly road with only one bump. 2hrs 05, for the first 1hr 55, for this one.
That's the last 'race' of the year now for me, bit of rest time then into the plan for my first half marathon in March.......
Happy running all!
Mx
Wow I bet you are so happy that is a fantastic improvement, well done!!! Which HM are you doing in March??
Thanks ju-ju, I'm doing Cambridge Half Marathon, first weekend of March, was very lucky to get a place, then π¬going to do a half where I did my first 10 miler- that will be October at Wimpole Hall (a 'Hoohaah' event - they do a series of 10ks, a 10 mile and a HM all at National Trust properties mixed terrain, woodland etc.)
So next year is mostly sorted........ha ha....π I've just got to keep these old legs a moving.....
Mx
Ooh Madge! That sounds a good un! Plan started yet? βΊ
I headed out on the wooded trail on Sunday in fine weather. had a blast, running through the trees, close to the waters edge in places. Mud, tree roots, a short stretch of slippery brick path so it was eyes down, overhanging branches bah! Feeling energetic I ran on the newly-completed mountain biking track which runs alongside the route 's main path. It was such fun π Did it on the return leg too π There was no-one on it so .... π
Did nearly 10k before wandering home for a double espresso skinny latte and an Epsom Salts bath. Happy days
I only did parkrun which was pretty slow as was talking all the way round and i did take a rather nice picture of the river while warming up! Yes i have started to warm up and doing stretching to over come my issues, its such a bore!
