Well, I did it. The time wasn't too shabby either about 2,33 I think, I forgot to stop my watch. Just a minute outside my PB I think which all things considered I am more than happy with
I was OK til mile 11 when my right quad tightened really badly and I guess this is where the lack of training showed.
I persevered and didn't walk and that last mile seemed to go on forever.
It was a lovely flat course and the support was amazing. They had wet sponges too which was fab.
So glad I didn't pull out now.. I'm shattered and ache everywhere but am very proud.
