Was going well until mile 10 when there was an unexpected and steep hill. That took a lot of effort and slowed me down for the next 3 miles but hey, who cares. I still came in under my estimated time.
2.32.47 seconds. Happy with that. Thought I would be min of 2.40.
The really dreaded steep hill at Mile 2 wasn't too bad but then I had fresh legs.
I always said, I wouldn't do another but I may do the one in my home town later in the year. Now that is hilly!!
I cannot believe that last July I started the couch programme and couldn't run for a minute. What an amazing journey I've been on and I've made some lovely friends along the way.
To all those running today, I hope you all achieved what you wanted.
Thank you C25k family for all your support xxx
Ps, just look at the size of the bling!!! Not sure why my pics keep posting the wrong way xxx

That is fantastic Dunnja and quite some achievement in less than a year - you are obviously a natural! And what a very impressive piece of bling. Just brilliant - what an inspiring place this c25k forum is!
Fantastic photo, fantastic time, fantastic achievement and completely fantastic Jules. You've done brilliantly. Now time for a deep bath, a lot of TLC from the family and perhaps a celebratory glass of wine xx
Well done Dunnja! that really is fast progress in such a short time-just brilliant! lovely medal and thats a great HM time- congratulations, hope you can relax now
This time last year I was 2.5 stone heavier and smoking 20 a day. I lost weight, started running and gave up smoking so that I could run week 5 run 3. π
Wow that's some medal! Not one to miss! Wear that loud and proud!
Very well done! REally! Huge congratulations! This stuff is hard work so hats off to you for nailing it. Please have a rest up, maybe do some gentle recovery jogs but generally go easy for a few weeks. You'll probably be ravenous for the next week.
