Reddish tint to eyes after Eylea injection

I received my first Eylea injection for wet AMD about 10 days ago. I didn't know I even had wet AMD until I started seeing a grayish/dark blob in my right eye vision. It turned out to be a retinal hemorrhage that I fortunately caught early. I was diagnosed and received the eye injection that day in order to stop the hemorrhage. So crazy, because I had no symptoms before this happened. After the shot and after the blurriness subsided I was doing pretty good. I actually had about 4 days of almost seeing perfectly again and then I woke up and I was having a lot of distortions. I went back to the doctor and she did all of the exams again and was actually quite happy about my improvement. She showed me the pictures of the week before, when I got the shot and then the new photo and showed how the swelling was going down and distortions would remain for a while until everything settled. My vision had even improved in my right eye! From 20/80 to 20/40! I was very happy. Now, this morning I woke up and looked around my room and everything had a red tint to it. I thought it was just me adjusting to the light, but no, it has remained that way all day. It look like I am seeing everything through a sepia colored lens. What is this??? Does anyone know why this would happen? I can't call her until Monday but just hoping someone might have had the same experience. Is it possibly an injection side effect? I was perfect yesterday. This is crazy!

Good morning,

This could be a couple of things. Firstly, It could be the AMD effecting you macular's colour perception. This can cause the illusion of a coloured filter over your affected eye. This is a symptom of AMD and isn't always permanent but inform you clinic in case they would like to do an examination. The other possible reason for this could be a build up of fluid. This can create the effect of looking through clear or reddish water and is something you should inform your clinic about as your treatment plan may need to be revised.
