I will try and be precise.
About 3 years ago i went for a routine eye test and from that i was told everthing was ok, but would i mind looking at a Amsler grid and see if anything seemed unusual. I had never heard of an amsler grid so i looked and everything seemed fine. I was then told not to worry about it and was sent on my way,
Me being me i googled what amsler grid was for and came across AMD, so i started freaking out. Anyways fast forward a year and all of a sudden out of the blue i started to notice a wavy line in my vision, and when checking Amsler grid i could see it there too. So i made an appointment and had the more expensive scan. I was told nothing had changed and that i didnt have AMD and not to worry but no one could explain this wavy line. I had this for a few months and then it vanished.
6 months later it came back again, so again i went for eye test and again was told nothing had changed and again told its not AMD. ...same thing happened and it went...its now come back again, exact same place and i have my annual eye test next month.
So my question is, do wavy lines come and go in AMD, or once they are there in AMD do they generally stay there and get worse?
