Hat trick
Sorry you had such a shock. The RNIB have information on their website re different types of glaucoma causing conditions and their treatment. It may explain why laser has been recommended for you?
They have a helpline too.
Sending you a hug and best wishes going forwards x
PS I too have the hat trick ( brvo/ glaucoma/ cataracts) - you will come to realise you are stronger than you ever knew ! Don't let the fear of an unknown tomorrow spoil the beauty of today x
You guys are all great😃 Feel better already. Thanks
I have had laser treatment for AMD. It didn't hurt at all. All the best; big hug.
I am in the same position but ben having drops for amd for 5 years. Last time he told me I need 'idiopathic iridotomy'...same for you? I am waiting for an appt.
Hi Patjo,
I had laser treatment for glaucoma 5 years ago. I was worried at the time because it was a couple of weeks after an eye injection. It was local anaesthetic, lying down and in an operating theatre. I had to wear an eye patch for a couple of days and had lots of drops for two or three weeks. The vision took a couple of weeks to settle down. I went back to work after a week and it was too soon. Good luck. It may be worth asking why they are considering laser so soon. I had run out of drop combinations before they went to laser.
Same here! I am expecting an appt for the laser procedure any day now. I have wet AMD and early cataracts
Hi Patjo
I'm sure that was an awful shock to you. Mostly you hear about people being given drops for glaucoma. I didn't realise laser was an option. Is it a one off procedure meaning that you won't have to use drops afterwards.
We myopics seem to cop for everything don't we. I hope your treatment goes well. Let us know how you get on and good luck. 2468G (UK)
