Chronic CSR, doctors say treatment not advised, PLEASE HELP

Hello everyone, I am writing today hoping someone would have some answers/advise... my brother who is 38 yrs old, has had chronic CSR for the past 5 years in the right eye but it is right in the center of the macula. So doctors don't want to advise laser because it would cause permanent scaring/vision loss in the center so they always advise to wait until "the water gets naturally absorbed" and vision is restored.

Problem #1 is the epitelium rises more every time and now he says there was a black spot that is now bigger, meaning permanent damage.

Problem #2 he is now seeing a small circle on the left eye, meaning this disease could start affecting the other eye.

He currently does his everyday activities with his left eye only as the right one still has "lots of water" and he can't see well at all. But he is very scarred about now the left eye.

We have seen many, many doctors and they all advise to just wait since there is no treatment and treatment available would just make everything worse since it is at the center of the macula. But I feel just waiting and waiting is making everything worse and leaving sequels,,,

Does anyone have any other ideas/information on what to do? we don't know what to do and we are all very scared for him. He is too young to have this problem and it is quite big,,, he has tried all the natural solutions (relaxing, healthy diet, exercise, supplements, etc) nothing works,,, any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hello Mandy, my brother lives in Mexico, so I feel we have less information and treatments here, doctors just don't know what to do since it is central and only advise to wait,,,but it just gets worse by waiting,,, so we were thinking on travelling to the UK, or Spain if there was treatment there but we haven't found anything either...

Have treatments helped you in any way?? which ones?? the scary part is if it happens in the other eye

The only treatment I'm aware of is the one I have. Does he have a lot of distortion and struggle with colours as i do? The treatment only stabalises not cures plus scarring occurs after each treatment. Hope this helps regards mandy

Thank you Mandy,, we have FINALLY now been advised to that,,, now that the epitelial detachment looks like a ballon on the right eye and there is fluid leaking now on the left one,,, my brother is terrified that he will loss vision on the left eye as well, furtunately the leak is not at the center, so we will place a laser there but who knows if there is a new leak later on, or if that leak would later be at the center,,, he believes he will end up losing the vision in both eyes eventually, we don't know what to do....
