Had another check up yesterday. I thought i couldnt read as much as 3 months ago but the nurse even chased me later to explain that though i couldnt get to the bottom 2 lines i had not missed so many on the other lines so good result there.
Big result when i saw the Doctor & not our Consultant, you see him if you need an injection or there is something wrong. Didnt need an injection, yippee, as the bleed was dry. So very pleased about that but bit fed up with the the 'flys' that turn out to be floaters that are permanent. Still 2 out of 3 isnt bad, so i'll take that for sure!
Never have problems with any of the Staff at our clinic. Ok there is always a long wait with a 'poke in the eye with a sharp stick' at the end most of the time but like i tell people who say that they couldnt have the injections, it beats the hell out of going blind! So big thanks to all the team at Lexden Road they are great!

It is possible to have large and oersistent floaters zapped by a YAG laser which uses two low powered beams which only have an effect where they cross. I think a YAG machine is used at Clatterbridge but most treatments for floaters appear to be done privately and mostly at a clinic in Altrincham.
Hi jjnan my friend coined the phrase when i told her the first time i had an injection that the needle seemed so big even though it wasnt. She said it must be like having a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, that has just stuck now. Glad you like it too 😀
