Kindly suggest me what it is!!

Hi everyone, i have a question which is more like a concern. This is my recent OCT scan on 06/03/2023, as I'm diagnosed macular edema. And taken avastin injection in my eye. The central thickness was 219 (green part) and it remain same 219 after the inj, but the other swelling was reduced.

Now my concern is, I'm getting very tiny flashes or circle (which are not blur nor blocking my vision) but when i try to close my right eye and blink left eye, i see them in the center vision.

P.s my vision near the central vision is grey, which doesn't makes me see through, tho it's not black blind spot, but the greyish one. And it was showing red before the anti-vgef, now it's showing green which my doc says the bleeding is stop in that area, but it's still blocking the vision. (It is marked in blue in picture).

Anyways, so my concern is what would be the reason for my central vision circle and flashes when this central vision is good, and even doc said to me there's no bleeding in your central and that left eye is my good eye. I recently got out from the anxiety before taking the anti-vgef, since it shown some good results, i got over my anxiety. Whom should i consult? Or is it temporary? Cause of stress? Cause of screentime? Just let me know please.

looking at your report all looks good centrally although I am not an ophthalmologist but do know how to read OCTs any flashes or floaters should be reported so I would let them know at the next appointment if they persist then phone them before hand. Screen time can dry your eyes as we don’t blink as much when looking at screens so remember to keep blinking.

Rest assured that the fluid is not at a bad level in your eyes my microns are 600+at the central bit ( where your are 219) and that’s in my good eye .

Take it easy and I hope all continues to go well.

I hope so too. Because that's. my only good eye where i can see with my central vision. I'm planning to change my RS and the current one doesn't respond me well, tho he's a good doctor. Maybe the flashes or visible circle's are caused by dry eyes. I'm using teargel tho, but I'll ask my new doctor for sure. Did you see the blue marked line area? It was showing red and leaked in previous oct but now it's gone. But still i can't see from the part.

On my right eye, fluid reduce from 419 to 329 last year, and now it's 339 after the injection, but in photo it shows reduced. Doc says, maybe the numbering fault because in picture it shows reduced.

In my right eye, my central is very curved but it's not blocking the vision, and side vision is fine no curve.

But I'm still seeing wavy 〰️ lines.

Where are you based are you in the UK? The RNIB have a great eye health team whom you can speak to but not sure if they only take calls from those in the UK.

Hi tallyho I've spoken to you on here before about wet AMD and high eye pressure. You're very clued up and I'm guessing self taught on eye matters!!! I must say you explain things more clearly than some consultants I would have no idea how to read a scan! Well done to you!

oh bless you well yes although not an ophthalmologist I do work alongside them and other eye care clinicians. I volunteer as a patient for students to learn about eye disease and I now have a fair few lecturers in eye conditions that I count as friends, too they have taught me a lot.

Excellent way to learn and teach others too. I wonder if they do that at Kings College Hospital. Best wishes!

indeed is it possible to know if you use aids to help you to see better etc If there is anything you are willing to share on here I can email my contact at the London university and see if you could help there as a volunteer with 3rd year optometry students

Is it fine to switch your anti-vgef treatment from private to some trust hospital? Because private treatment is pretty much expensive here. Does it make any difference with the environment or hygiene.
