Just wondering if any one on here gets double vision?
I have had double vision for nearly 3 years but have a prism ( since January) which is stuck on with water on my normal glasses. It is brilliant and solved the problem straight away. It is called a fresnel prism. Just incase anyone is suffering and may benefit from the prism like I have.
Hi tallyho, many many years ago go I had a bad bout of double vision where I saw two of everything on different levels. The hospital told me that they did not know what caused this condition, that nothing could be done and that it would sort itself out in time, which it did in 8 weeks. Now since I have been diagnosed with wet AMD in my left eye and dry in the other one I noticed that, when checking the amsler grid, every line has a shadowy line running alongside it when checking the right eye, the good eye so to speak, though the cataract in this eye is worse than the one in my left, which makes my vision not much better than in my left. When I mentioned the double vision to my consultant he looked puzzled. I never thought one could have double vision in one eye. I thought it only happened when the two eyes did not focus on the same spot. Or is the shadowy line a manifestation of something else? Thank you for mentioning the fresnel prism.
