Just back from my appointment with my new rheumy who is very nice and listens. However he does say it is not Lupus but it is Sjogren's Syndrome, my lack of balance maybe vascular and I have got to have a bone density scan done in case of osteoporosis.
So good news I think?

Hi, I have Sjogrens Syndrome secondary to Systemic Scleroderma and other auo immune diseases .... I have damage to my salivery glands and get the odd swelling in the Parotid Glands etc ... dry mouth, loss of taste, dental problems etc etc xx My eyes, well I have just had plugs put into my tear ducts to help prevent the drainage of the tears ... I noticed the difference almost immediately - my eyes shine, first time for a long long time, and I am not having to use the eye drops as often ... my eyes are not getting so dry, gritty or tired would recommend xxx
I to have recently been diagnosed with this, just to add to my lupus, raynards, fIbromalgia and arthritis. It's nice to have a name to it all, shame it does not make it go away! I have no sense of taste at the moment and didn't realise that was something to do with all this, glad we have this site to help each other x x
Thank you for all your replies. I have been given eye drops and also had plaquinal added to my other medications. The reason my rheumy ruled out lupus was that at 55 he says I am too old to be diagnosed with this.
I also have picked up the cold that is going round and have no voice today.
