Did anybody wait 5 months to get a reply from ESA

I did they said no, I will appeal.

I waited 10 months but I was one of the lucky ones - they said yes, although the stress of waiting nearly killed me. Good luck with your appeal. xxx

I waited for 6 weeks. I have been awarded, but have to go for the dreaded ATOS medical. Nothing was backdated though. I honestly believe that they make things as difficult as possible so we won't appeal.

i was claiming job seekers till last Friday when the girl told me to sign off and go on the sick and claim contributory esa i have been waiting since then for the forms to come through and rang 3 departments as i keep being fobbed off if nothing through today i will ring the helpful back, she also told me if they turn me down appeal as they know most of us will give up at this stage like i did last time. So hang on in and fingers crossed you get it x
