training for walk

Hiya all,some of you may not know i lost my mum earlier this year,she had sle aswell as other illnesses,i recently did a sponsored walk for lupus uk,i,m starting my training this week for a 26 mile walk in march and doing a sponsored slim for lupus uk,hopefully i,ll quit smoking at the same time,i,ll keep you all posted how i get on big hugs to each and everyone of you x

    I wish you all the best with your training, 26 miles I'm out of breath just thinking about it.Also you are doing a sponsored slim fantastic. ALSO you are giving up smoking, Good luck with all your goals and please keep us informed as to how you are doing:)

  • Good luck Catb, thats quite a programme you've got planned, I wish you well, its so nice to read about people with positive plans. My daughter gave up smoking this year. She needed treating for an over active thyroid and was advised to stop. Didnt think she'd stay the course but with support, she did and she's well again. I've had SLE for over 6 years, diagnosed in 2005. Good luck with all your plans :)

  • Thankyou all for wishing me luck,ive got quite a few events in the pipeline for next year sponsored walk,charity darts night and hopefully aug/sept time the biggest one which will also help me overcome my fear of heights aswell a sponsored abseil,i will keep you all posted how i,m doing x
