Hello,

Has he seen his gp and been diagnosed with any immune conditions? It is hard to suggest much without knowing what illness he has or how far along he is. I can only suggest the following, and apologise that it won't help much:

If he is taking steroids, then that could be affecting his behaviour. It would be worth talking to his gp/consultant about it.

As regards the pain, many conditions can cause widespread pain ie fibromyalgia, but again it is something his gp and consultant would need to look into.

I hope things look up for you both soon x

What you desribe does fit with Lupus, but it would be sensible to speak to a doctor.

Hi Jenny, has he been referred to a neurologist or anyone else? It must be so frightening for you two. x

Yes he has been to 3 different specialists. the only thing they said was that he had a lot of areas of imflammation throughout his body and that he might have cancer. this was found to be incorrect. they checked his adrenal system and his muscle reactions. No one seemed to get to the bottom of it and i thought i was going to lose him.

The problem was though at a really low point he was quite abusive to me, shouting screaming raising his hand to hit etc. then after the 'bout' he would say it really was not 'him'. he has had periods of confusion too so i do believe it, he would stand at the sink and not know what he had to do to clean his teeth. now he can sit in the car and not remember how to get places. he forgets events, etc and he had an excellent memory before. he got up one night holding on to the door waking me up to ask me to turn the light on because he did not know where he was or how he got there.

physically he has weakness combined with pain in different places, extreme fatigue where he could not get to the toilet or care for himself and extreme hot and cold flushes where he could not adjust his temperature no matter what was donei.e. laying on cold tiles in a cold room and standing in front of a blazing fire having hot water bottles and blankets. just wierd. he has had a mouth full of blood blisters. which have just kept coming.

thankfully it seems to have abated and has been for some time, i just wish i had some answers

i forgot to mention that at one point they put him onto a hight dose of steroids for a short period of time and he came back to me. He was like he was when I first met him and he felt like a different person.

thank you for helping
